We have 100+ children at the hostel today, varying in ages from 3 to 18+. We need to make sure everyone receives an education that would benefit them the most. For younger children having a strong foundation is critical, for primary and middle school children, we focus on teaching them the sciences and maths through practical activities, language arts improvements through in-house events/activities. For higher secondary and senior children the focus is to give them the best chance at a successful career by hosting career counseling (Udaan) and skill based education as described above. This also includes learning new skills like arts, dance, music from teacher volunteers. A large part of their soft skill learning comes from being part of the elected Student Council that manages every aspect of the Hostel operations.
