Udyam is our Vocational Training program for Class 8 and above students of Pathshala and Pathbhavan. These are some glimpses from the jewellery making session on September 4, 2023 at our Pathbhavan location. The following vocational training courses are being started in our first phase –
Last week (end of August) Pathshala children completed Project ‘Monsoon’. They have learnt various topics related to rain. Rain water harvesting system, cloud burst, formation of rainbow, floods, responsibilities of disaster management group and a few more other aspects. They even wrote poems on rain. The approach is Project Based Learning ( PBL).
A day when our children show our teachers how special they are and what they mean to them! The entire event is kept under wraps and the teachers have no idea what is being planned for them. Helping rebuild a country after a massive natural disaster.
Our Udham 25 event was on the theme Vaarso Vadodara No, meaning revisiting the city’s roots and heritage. Both Pathshala and Pathbhavan children did Projects on this topic and built models The venue decor, costumes, script, stage performances, music, songs, dance, food etc were all on the theme of our beloved city of Vadodara.
Celebrations were split into two phases – Phase 1 : Display & Explanation.Phase 2: 30 students prepared & presented a few biological facts and about the world – India’s renowned Scientists.

Pathshala Celebrates to honour the teachers..
Pathbhavan students threw the Teacher’s Day program independently with zero assistance from any of the mentors. They treated us from the fund created by themselves by selling Rakhis, diyas and foot mat, yoga mat (made by the students only). We, the teachers, mentors and trustees were happy to see them growing with empowerment.
Pathshala’s new 2023-2024 academic has started. Among other things, there is a special focus on Reading this year. The children get 25 minutes post morning assembly different kinds of books. The senior children have also presented what they are reading in a book review discussion.
Pathbhavan celebrated her 11th Birthday by hosting an event called the Journey Continues. The children staged an English play, The Selfish Giant. They also had report reading, prize distribution and a dance performance.
World Water Day was celebrated in Pathbhavan on March 22, 2024. The Pathshala & Pathbhavan children performed dances and a street play by MSU students. Children also made presentations to spread awareness. Pathshala students (Unnati Initiative) made papdi no lot and potato chips for snacks. Altogether it was a wholesome experience.
