• Theme: “End child marriage and invest in girls’ rights”
• Focus: Raising awareness about child marriage, education gaps, safety, and gender inequality worldwide.
• Global Statistics:
Over 12 million girls are married before the age of 18 every year (about 1 every 3 seconds).
• Around 650 million women and girls alive today were married in childhood.
• Adolescent girls (aged 15–19) are twice as likely as boys to be out of education, employment, or training.
